Comments

Conditions have remained unchanged in the last 24 hours and we remain in our present position awaiting a change in the ice. This morning we awoke to clear conditions making a window of opportunity for a Basler fixed wing aircraft ice reconnaissance flight (recce) from Davis. This recce is in progress and is investigating the area of ice bounded by north east and north west directions from the ship seeking areas of open water (leads) . We await the findings from this recce in the hope of some encouraging news.

Cheers Tony and Mike
