Comments

Conditions have remained unchanged in the last 24 hours and we remain in our present position awaiting a change in the ice. Matt and the engineering team from the Aurora Australis crew have over the last week taken measures to reduce our fuel consumption significantly whilst we wait. Even though the ship isn’t moving it still consumes an amount of fuel in order to keep essential services running.
We have for the last few days had an inquisitive seal on the starboard side keeping an eye on us and this morning Minke whales were spotted in the open puddles of water near the ship.

Cheers Tony and Mike
