Comments

Resupply is progressing very well and by late morning yesterday the hatch covers were cleared and the hatches opened and cargo located in the tween deck was being removed. The tween deck was cleared of cargo late this morning, the largest piece of cargo being a 25 tonne crane. The first lower deck has now been opened and removal of cargo therein is in progress. In the meantime cargo returning to Australia (RTA) is being marshalled near the ship ready for back loading at the first opportunity.
Running concurrently with the cargo operations is the station refuelling. Fuel is at present being pumped ashore through our refuelling hose and that operation will be completed by early afternoon today. The refuelling equipment and hose will then be retrieved to the ship.
Everyone is working in a safe and efficient manner well satisfied with the progress we are making. The ingoing and outgoing station wintering teams of expeditioners are busily involved in the “handover” of the station from the one group to the other.

Cheers Tony and Mike
