Comments

Heavy ice conditions have reduced our progress significantly over the last 24 hours. The ship was again stopped last night for 4 hours as visibility was so poor. A slow moving low pressure weather system to the north west of the ship continues to sustain overcast cloudy conditions with poor visibility and no definition.
The bridge is a hive of activity with expeditioners keen to see how the ship is expertly manoeuvred through the thick sea ice. Must have is a good pair of sunglasses.
Cheers Tony and Mike
