Comments

Having achieved our best day's work yesterday, the forecast deterioration in the weather has arrived with a vengeance. Throughout the night and today so far the weather has been very unpleasant, and this is expected to be the case for the next 36 hours. With this in mind we are now well established on our return passage to Nelson. The movement of the ship is pretty lively, with waves breaking and sheets of spray blowing across the ship.

Now that all of the fun is over, the hard work begins in earnest. The volume of images and data which has been collected over the last five weeks now has to be reviewed and collated, and a number of reports to various bodies compiled. This work will continue until we arrive in New Zealand.

And the galley team just keep turning out the awesome food, no matter what!

Regards Chris, Margaret, and the VWhales Team
