Comments

Back into the rough weather again as we make our way to the middle of the survey area. The forecast for tomorrow is looking OK for our last day of ops in the main part of the survey area - unfortunately the forecast for Saturday is not so good, meaning tomorrow may be our last shot at the title!

We have actually been pretty fortunate weather-wise - the average marine science voyage can expect to lose up to 50% of time due to bad weather, so far we have only had about 15-20% of lost time for this reason.

The ship has been a bit like the Marie Celeste today, no-one much around and little groups of people watching DVDs wedged into corners to remain comfortable. Wish us luck for tomorrow!

Regards Chris, Margaret, and the VWhales Team
