Comments

Hello All,

A relatively constant 24 hours during which we attempted to proceed south further into the approaches to the Ross Sea without success. Unfortunately the pack ice there had scattered and was blocking our way, so to be on the safe side we reversed course back into clear water.

Today we have had numerous humpback sightings, however so far today no new blue whales. There ar a number of large ice bergs around which may be blocking our ability to hear the vocalizations from blue whales which we were listening to earlier in the day. The weather has moderated and we are presently enjoying relativelty calm conditions for the moment.

All is well onboard,

Until Tomorrow,

Regards Chris, Margaret, and the VWhales Team
