Hello All,

As we thought, today we are having a bit of a busy day in the calmer conditions. The games began early this morning as we followed and photo ID'd two Antarctic Blue Whales, and photo ID'd and biopsied several humpbacks. As I write, the "Remora" is out ahead of the ship tracking another blue whale.
It is a bit like a high speed car chase at times, and sometimes we track one whale acoustically and then find another visually. In the slightly restricted visibility caused by the fog and sleet, it is easy to do!

The weather conditions will be reasonable for the next few days, so we are hhopeful of continued interaction with these amazing creatures.

Until Tomorrow,

Regards Chris, Margaret, and the VWhales Team
