Comments

Hi All,

A slow 24 hours as a result of some pretty ordinary weather. Everyone onboard has been enjoying the opportunity to relax and catch up on some rest and recuperate before we get back into things as the weather improves overnight. It would seem that the whales have moved off to the west, so we have just popped another sonobuoy in the water and will begin the task of locating and tracking them so we can close within visual range to carry out our science. With the whales sometimes calling infrequently while they are on the move, it can be a bit like three dimensional chess with the lights turned out!

We will see what tomorrow brings, but with a much improved forecast in hand, things are looking good.

Until Tomorrow,

Regards Chris, Margaret, and the VWhales Team
