Brett tightens all the restraining straps on the four huge bulka bags of boots in the tween deck. We have started preparing for our return, including the return of survival equipment. Everything has to be strapped down as the ship has been rolling gently in the moderate seas we are lucky enough to be experiencing.
So far we have had no problems maintaining our speed at around 16 knots. And it looks like the weather will stay in our favour.
Last night, Christian with his unruly, dark-copper-coloured hair, wearing traditional green Ghanan dress, arrived for the SIPEX II Millionaire Megadraw 1st prize dinner for two, served by Master Chef, Capt Murray Doyle in full captains dress uniform. Cassie was lucky enough to accompany him. The lucky prize winners had a special dinner of oysters and prawns for entre, rack of lamb with roast veg and jus for main, followed by a butterscotch inspired moose. All washed down with soft drinks in cans (they're a bit of a novelty to us these days!). The raffle raised around $1400 for Camp Quality.
Cheers
Andy, Brett
