Comments

We’re heading south again after drifting steadily north over the last few days. Fortunately our course is also westward at a far greater rate as we drift locked within the pack ice. There are good leads and open water nearby and as soon as the pack ice around the ship begins to show signs of breaking up we will begin the journey north.

Science continues on the ice at station 8 with the ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) doing missions under the ice, Jenny deploying the ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler), and various others taking ice cores and samples and catching krill.

Cheers
Andy, Brett
