Comments

The light is muted, it has been all day. Heavy cloud covers our location making it impossible to see far enough ahead to warrant departing.

The problem is that without a good radar image, an obvious loosening of the pack ice, or good visibility to see by, we run more of a risk of getting stuck in heavy pack than making headway.

Operations on the ice went well yesterday and the gangplank was lifted by 7pm.

As soon as we get a break in the weather we'll be heading south looking for fast ice...

Cheers

Andy, Brett
