Comments

Having left ice station 3 yesterday, we have spent the night travelling
south, hunting for the next ice station. We hope to find one this afternoon.

Klaus our Chief Scientist clambered out of bed feeling stiff and for
want of a better expression, used. He was not alone. The ice stations
are incredibly demanding physically. Because of the low temperatures it
is necessary to wear bulky heavy clothing. Drilling the ice, dragging
sleds, even walking in deep soft snow all take it out of you...

The break whilst we search for the next ice station is therefore
appreciated by many!

Cheers

Andy, Brett
