Comments

We stayed overnight at ice station 2, with scientists working late into
the night on the ice. Today we kicked goals with successful missions of
AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) and the ROV (Remotely Operated
Vehicle). Most of the scientists took the opportunity to gather more
samples and data.

There is a nasty cold running round the ship and I seem to have become
the latest victim. As a result I haven't looked at my computer today, or
my phone, which has been a delight in some ways! Brian the doctor and
Alison (who has deployed her buoys and now has some free time on her
hands) have both been helping spell me on the bridge, acting as
lookouts and logging peoples movements on the ice, which has been great.
Meanwhile Brett keeps check on things in the tweens deck where everyone
deploys from (it can be quite chaotic!).

We plan on packing most of the equipment up by dark tonight, just
leaving a few experiments closer to the ship on the ice. We will attempt
to depart tomorrow morning for our next ice station.

Cheers

Andy, Brett
