Well what difference a day makes. Awoke to mostly 5-10 knots of wind with some cloud covering the plateau of the island and the best day so far for refuelling & cargo operations.
Mid afternoon today and the vessel is now fully discharged of cargo and around 205,000 litres of SAB (Special Antarctic Blend) diesel fuel. We are currently concentrating on RTA (Return To Australia) cargo operations as well as slowly boarding passengers for the trip home.
We still need to complete some of the down island field hut resupply by helicopter if weather permits and we will have everyone onboard prior to midday tomorrow while we finish loading the last few items of Cargo before a decision is made to head for Hobart.
