Comments

We slowed down slightly overnight due to the presence of bergs, but we still are making good progress.

There are a plethora of reports being compiled on board by this multi-disciplined bunch of expeditioners. These range from the scientific to Engineering and others are people and operations related.

Yesterday on the bridge a Sooty Albatross was observed on the starboard bow and it stayed with us for half an hour. This amazing bird didn’t flap its wings once during its travel with the Aurora Australis.

Last night a special evening was had by all commencing with a Beijing Banquet superbly prepared by the Aurora Australis Galley crew. We were then entertained by Julie on guitar and other superb vocalists too numerous to mention.

Cheers

Tony and Simon
