Yesterday and last night we spent out at sea waiting for the weather front to pass. This morning we have returned to Davis to winds of 30 knots gusting to 35 knots. We are unable to deploy our IRB’s and therefore our Jet Barge at winds of this level. The trends are showing that the winds will abate just after lunch today and operations will proceed if that indeed is the case.
The forecast for the next three days is for fine weather with winds around 15 knots, ideal for resupply. It is hoped that operations will now proceed until completion without weather interruption.
Cheers
Tony and Simon
