Comments

We have at last arrived at Davis Station anchoring just before midday. It was amazing sailing between large icebergs lining our route into station. We have experienced strong winds this morning however they are abating now and we expect to commence resupply operations early in the afternoon.

Expeditioners are readying themselves for transfer to the station by Jet barge and this will take place before any cargo is delivered to the station. Most of the expeditioners going to shore are those with round trip projects to complete at Davis. We will also bid farewell and good luck to the ingoing Davis Station Leader and Station Electrician today.

On this first leg of the voyage we have achieved all the objectives set for us. We have deployed 8 of 9 Argo Float Buoys (the 9th to be deployed on the return trip) and deployed a Blue Whale Acoustic logger. A big well done to all .

Cheers

Tony and Simon
