We have for the last 24 hours been weathering a severe storm. This is preventing us getting into Davis. Last night we found shelter against large chunks of pack ice. Thanks to the Aurora Australis Bridge Team for keeping us safe in our warm bunks. A favourable forecast for the next 24 hours will see us at anchor at Davis at 0730 tomorrow morning local time. Fine weather will allow us to commence resupply operations.
All on board are safe and well. A final briefing will be conducted this afternoon by the Voyage Leader and Deputy Voyage Leader to ensure that all expeditioners are fully aware of what to expect at Station and what is expected of them.
Cheers
Tony and Simon
