Comments

The calm seas continue we have been blessed with this voyage to date. The weather forecast for our arrival at Davis is very poor which would delay the start of the resupply. Consideration is being given to seeking shelter near the ice edge and looking for Krill trawling opportunities prior to arriving at Davis. This would delay our arrival at Davis by 24 hours to arrive on 25 January however resupply operations would commence then without delay.

Expeditioners are taking full advantage of the magnificent scenery on show with icebergs of all shapes and sizes visible to the horizon. There has also been an abundance of whales sighted throughout the day. Cameras are working overtime on board with everyone looking for that special shot.

Planning for the resupply is virtually complete with everyone looking forward to a busy time at Davis. Davis expeditioners who are returning to Australia will be anxiously looking out for “The Orange Roughey” on the horizon.

Cheers

Tony and Simon
