Hi All, Our ETA has now firmed up and we will be berthing at Macquarie Wharf no.4 at 0700 on Tuesday 8 January 2013. Unfortunately expeditioners won’t be able to disembark straight away as we will need to clear customs and quarantine prior to getting ashore – hopefully we should all be off the ship by about 0815 or so. I should be able to provide information on the meeting place for family and friends once these are confirmed tomorrow.

The weather overnight has been a little bit rough and the Aurora Australis has been rolling around with the swell on the beam. We are still making good speed towards Hobart though! We have also sighted some sooty albatross. CPR #3 for the leg (#7 for the voyage) will be recovered this evening and #4 (or #8 for the voyage) will be streamed.

And today would not be complete without wishing a very happy birthday to Captain Murray “Muz” Doyle! Happy Birthday mate!

Until tomorrow,

Regards Chris, Leanne, and the V2 Team
