Comments

Ahoy all, Voyage 2 of 12/13 is now well underway and we are now tracking on a South westerly Course direct to Casey Station, the well laden Aurora rising comfortable to meet the 3-4m southern ocean swell. We had a slight delay last night while the ship’s engineers repaired a defective safety valve in the auxiliary boiler. The job was done quickly, resulting in a delay of only about four hours. Everyone has settled in well and most people are up and about and are attending meals, so seasickness has not affected us too badly. The ship has now settled in to the routines of passage. Voyage management are engaged in planning and preparation for the Casey resupply which should begin early next week. Otherwise, there is a generally relaxed air onboard and with expeditioners enjoying the relative peace and quiet of the trip so far.
REGARDS: Chris and Leanne.
