Another cracking day of cargo operations yesterday. General cargo, fresh food, frozen food and fuel drums making up the mix of cargo flown ashore. By by the end of the day the only cargo left on the ship was 7 bundles of general cargo and aviation fuel drums.

The majority of the Davis and Mawson wintering team who are returning to Hobart on this voyage joined he vessel last night, so welcome aboard team!

Two Twin Otter fixed wing flights were flown to Mawson yesterday delivering summer personnel to station, cargo and returning with a member of the Mawson team who will also be sailing back to Hobart with us. So all in all it was a big day for fixed wing operations.

Helicopter operations continue in earnest today and with two helicopters supporting the ship to shore operations cargo is leaving the deck every two to three minutes. The Twin Otter took again this morning from Plough Island skiway bound for Mawson as well.

This will be our final day of operations at Davis and this evening the vessel will pull its anchor and start our transit back to Hobart... more on that tomorrow though.

Cheers,

Andrew and Mark
