We continue to weave our way between spectacular ice bergs of all different sizes, shapes and colours. Even passing a jade ice berg late yesterday afternoon/evening. The scenery is keeping those onboard who are keen photographers very busy. We transited around a few thin patches of sea ice last night, a small glimpse for newcomers of what is to come.

The fifth and final CPR was retrieved last night in another smoothly run operation. Well done to Barb W and all the crew who have been involved in the deployments and retrievals of the CPR over the last nine days.

Planning meetings, briefings, JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) reviews and risk assessments all continue to be completed in readiness for our pending operations at Davis. We are also studying photos taken of ice conditions on our potential routes into Davis taken by a Twin Otter fixed wing aircraft aircrew that conducted an ice reconnaissance flight for us a couple of days ago from Davis. The photos are great and we'll spending a lot time studying them, satellite imagery of the ice and weather data for the next few days. Many thanks to the Twin Otter air crew and all involved in getting that flight away for us.

The ship is abuzz with the pending arrival of His Royal Highness King Neptune this afternoon. The preliminary security checks have been conducted, dossiers on all personnel presented to HRH's Private Secretary and passengers are now preparing themselves and making final checks of their most formal attire to ensure they look their best when they are presented before the King.

Cheers,

Andrew and Mark
