The last SITREP for V5.
We anchored today around 1700 just a few miles from Hobart port.
Usually we slow down for the last day or so to arrive exactly on time, however due to the sea conditions the ship rolled like a cork in a washing machine and the faster speed significantly improved the ride.
Today cabins were cleaned, bags packed, Wanted On Voyage (WOV) cargo returned and the survival clothing required for an emergency in the colder regions south, returned.
Everyone is happy to be home and itching to get ashore tomorrow morning.
We hope to be along side Macquarie Wharf 4 at 0700 tomorrow morning.
Finally, a BIG thanks to the crew and Master of the Aurora Australis for a great voyage, help and good humour... And all the affagato's!
Andy, Leanne and Mark
