Comments

Normal sailing the last 24 hours. Aurora departed the last of the sea-ice after midnight and entered open waters again, with generally smooth conditions experienced so far.

A special occasion was hosted in one of the ship's function rooms following dinner yesterday evening to mark the completion of the visit to Casey Station and the embarkation of the final summer expeditioners, returning home after the busy summer season.

An emergency muster drill was conducted at 10.30am local (Ship) time this morning to familiarise the new passengers with the emergency procedures onboard.

Voyage Management are now working with the Antarctic Division's head office in Kingston to finalise arrangements for the ship's arrival in port, and the discharge of passengers and cargo.
