Comments

At around 5pm local (Ship) time yesterday Aurora recovered both helicopters which had made the 180Nm trip to Mawson Station to exchange Station Leader's for the winter and deliver a small amount of cargo.

The ship then remained in position for a short time while engineering trials were undertaken, and made way again just before 9pm local
(Ship) time. Many of the expeditioners from Davis used this opportunity to make their way to the upper decks to take in the brilliant sunset.

Voyage Management have already been in contact with the Casey Station Leader to put in place preparations for the ship's arrival in a few days time. The ship's Master and Voyage Leader have also been liaising over a proposed special event for expeditioners and crew (prior to our arrival at Casey) to formally welcome the Davis personnel aboard for their return journey to Australia.

Cheers

Andy, Leanne and Mark
