Comments

We set sail last night at exactly eight pm, as planned. With only nine expeditioners and twenty six crew the ship seems fairly empty.

Various briefings were conducted prior to our departure and this morning expeditioners who had not sailed on the Aurora Australis in the last 12 months practiced putting on the ships immersion suits and did a life boat tour.

Last night the Continuous Plankton Recorder was checked and prepared for the following morning. It was deployed around 0830.

Cheers

Andy, Leanne and Mark
