Comments

It has been a very busy 24 hours as we departed Horseshoe Harbour, completed cargo, hoisted the jet barge onboard, lashed the RTA cargo and commenced our passage back to Hobart. All of the Mawson winterers arrived onboard late yesterday afternoon. Most collapsed into their bunks for their first proper duty-free and uninterrupted sleep for a year. This morning we had the first muster drill of our return journey to ensure all on board know how to respond in the event of an emergency. All went well and the ship has settled down into our passage routine which will include some marine science as we make our way home.

Regards

Andy, Sharon and Chris
