Comments

At last! We moored in Horseshoe Harbour in a smooth operation late
yesterday afternoon and the high priority cargo (including mail and
some fresh fruit) was sent ashore. This morning the resupply operation has commenced in earnest with the first containers and cage
pallets of equipment and stores being landed. As the crew and AAD team
get into their rhythm it is expected that the rate of discharge will
increase substantially. Preparations have been made ashore and equipment landed in preparation to begin refuelling tomorrow morning. The workboat 'Howard Burton' will be launched this afternoon and it is
expected that the Navy Hydrographic team will also be able to
commence their work tomorrow. The S76 helicopter has been bladed
up in preparation to conduct operations over the next few days. The weather forecast through to Saturday is looking favourable for
resupply with the decision to adjust the working day an hour later to
coincide with the late morning lull in the katabatic winds appears to
be paying off.

Andy, Sharon and Chris
