There is an expectant air around the ship as we make our final run down iceberg alley into Mawson's picturesque Horseshoe Harbour. Iceberg Alley is named for the two rows of grounded bergs which line up in a north-south direction to form a passage through to Mawson. The weather has turned brilliantly clear and sunny, which bodes well for the berthing operation when we arrive in about two hours time. The ship is shifting into resupply mode with personnel preparing equipment for deployment, and accessing the priority cargo for immediate delivery to the station. This includes mail, high priority spares, and two boxes of fresh fruit. As we approach the station, the Station Leader and the shore side mooring supervisors will come out to the ship for a briefing, and then the ship will make her entry into the close confines and moor in preparation for commencing discharge of cargo tomorrow. If time permits, a number of personnel will be landed ashore this evening.
