Comments

Another busy 24 hours of planning and preparation for the re supply and insertion of the Mawson Winterers. The Mawson team have been busy practising skills such as knot tying, navigation and field craft in readiness for their arrival. The weather has begun to deteriorate somewhat as we continue on our southerly passage. We will be increasing speed this afternoon to keep ahead of the offending low weather system and to bring our arrival time at Mawson forward six to eight hours to ensure we are ready to commence the re supply at first available opportunity. Later this afternoon (local time) as we pass through 44 degrees south we will deploy the CPR (Continuous Plankton Recorder).

REGARDS: Andy, Sharon and Chris
