We’re in the home straight, with the last 24 hours of CTD stations underway. The wind has picked up but not so much as to cause us much trouble. We are finishing off the last of the 5000+ m deep stations. From here, the pace will pick up as we run up the continental slope, with the stations being both shallower and closer together. We should be finished with the I9 transect by breakfast tomorrow, all going well. During our transit back to Fremantle, we will be carrying out a survey of the ocean currents over the continental shelf and slope using the acoustic instruments located in the ship’s hull.
