Comments

A low pressure system passed over the ship early this morning, bringing winds over 40 knots and a short, steep swell. But we were able to continue working, and the winds rapidly eased as the centre of the low passed over us. We completed another four stations in the past 24 hours. A quiz and fund-raiser for Camp Quality is presently underway as part of our Australia Day celebrations. During lunch, a life-saving crew and other national icons paraded through the galley, which is decorated with flags and paintings by our resident artist, Wendy Sharpe.

Regards, Steve and Barbara
