We are making good progress towards the location of the mooring recoveries and oceanographic transect. We left our parking spot in the fast ice last night and steamed north through the relatively light ice conditions to the west of the B9-B iceberg. The bridge was full of people enjoying the beautiful passage north through icebergs and pack ice glowing in the low evening light. We left the ice around mid-day and are steaming west. Today we spent getting ready for the marine science work to begin in earnest and organising costumes for this evening’s auction and fund-raiser for Camp Quality.
