The resupply for Casey station was completed today, including being able to fill all the fuel tanks on station as close to capacity as possible ensuring the station will have more than enough fuel for the next twelve months or so.
Once the last passengers were on board and everything was prepared for sailing, we departed Casey at 1400. The scenery has been awesome as we start to our journey back home with icebergs and sea ice pack as far as you can see. This was a great way to relax after our extended resupply. Everyone’s cameras have sure had a work out.
A massive thank you to everyone on the ship and at station for all their efforts over the last nineteen days to see the Casey resupply through. It is great to be leaving knowing we were able to deliver all the fuel we could and unload and retrieve nearly all the cargo as planned after all the challenges thrown our way. Everyone is having a well deserved rest and looking forward to our Christmas tomorrow.
REGARDS: Sharon, Fred and Jill
