Comments

Lovely sunny day today. Everyone who did not get off the ship yesterday, had the opportunity to go ashore today to complete their station induction and to start familiarising themselves with their new work environment. The station induction must be completed to allow you to work and move around inside the station limits on your own. Cargo operations continued but the barge had to dodge some largish ice floes on its way into the Casey wharf. Deployed a team to Frazier Island to install some automated cameras to monitor Southern Giant Petrel breeding colonies. All went well and we could not have had asked for nicer weather. Cargo operations will continue tomorrow. REGARDS: Sharon, Fred and Jill
