Anchored in Newcomb Bay this morning in preparation to start resupply, however it was not long before the wind picked up to speeds too high to operate our watercraft. We continued to monitor the wind, but with no sign of change and an updated forecast that had suggested winds increasing earlier than expected, we decided to up anchor and head out to sea until the weather improved. Unfortunately the wind did not decrease throughout the day and we will spend the night steaming around outside the bay and return to anchor when the wind abates. There are many people on board praying to the weather gods for a fine day tomorrow so they will have the opportunity to go ashore to Casey and see the place they will be spending at least the next 5 months.
