Great weather and smooth sailing today. With the anticipated arrival into Casey, cabin cleaning was in full swing with inspections scheduled for this afternoon. Pre-arrival briefings completed today with an overview of the station and station limits, refueling briefing and JHAs and an update of the planned proceedings after arrival in the anchor position tomorrow.
Having the sun come out today allowed everyone to get some amazing photos as we approached Casey – certainly could not complain about the conditions.
As our arrival into Casey was going to be too late to commence cargo, we took the opportunity to check out the Frazier Island group coastlines for possible landing sites for a project that will be undertaken throughout the resupply. The team advised with the use of binoculars that there were definitely some potential landing sites and this information will be included in the planning documentation for the trip.
REGARDS: Sharon, Fred and Jill
