Comments

Preparations are in full swing for our arrival into Hobart tomorrow afternoon.
There is a cabin cleaning frenzy on D-deck as everyone gets ready for cabin inspections at 0900 tomorrow morning. This afternoon everyone’s Antarctic clothing was collected. This clothing will be delivered to the AAD at Kingston for cleaning and re-issue from the clothing store.
The ocean is unbelievably calm at the moment. To the everyone’s delight, this has been the case since we left Davis.
Bernd delivered a very informative and educational talk last night titled “Having fun with high-power lasers – Observing the middle atmosphere above Davis and Northern Norway by LIDAR”.
(Light Detecting and Ranging).
As this is the final sitrep, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on board and all at Davis for making this voyage and resupply successful and enjoyable.

REGARDS: Sharon and Leanne
