Cargo operations continued today, including the discharge of the two largest and heaviest pieces of equipment on board, a rock crusher and a crane. Refuelling also commenced today to supply the station with enough fuel to continue operating for the next twelve months. Anchorage Island was on the tourist map today with two tours being conducted, one at 1300 and one at 2000 once cargo operations had completed for the day. We have been fortunate the good weather conditions have continue, even had blue skies today. The twin otter was able to make two flights to Mawson today, allowing five expeditioners to reach their final destination and two wintering personnel from Mawson the opportunity to catch a ride home with us. The nights have been spectacular with the sunsets flowing into the sunrises as at this time of year in Antarctica there is very little darkness - in fact only twilight. REGARDS: Sharon and Leanne
