Comments

We had a beautiful day yesterday to leave Hobart the sun was shining and the Derwent River was stunning as we left for Macquarie Island. At the mouth of Storm Bay we came across a school of Tuna driving bait fish to the surface. There were hundreds of birds making the most of this opportunity along with dolphins and seals.
The weather has been good since leaving with a following sea the vessel has been making a steady 12 to 12.5 knots. The Lastrolabe has been handling these conditions extremely well and all expeditioners are settling in well.
I would like to thank all of the Shipping and Supply Services staff for making our Port Call run so smoothly.

REGARDS: Simon and Aaron
