The Aurora crew had the ship ready to go early this morning with loads prepared to go ashore at Green Gorge to establish a bait depot for the winter eradication project. Unfortunately the wind remained too strong all day for helicopter operations from the ship, with a fairly constant 35-40kts despite otherwise sunny conditions on the island. The crew still managed to get more loads ready in the hangar for when we do fly and with a slight easing of wind late in the day the station team ashore delivered resupply loads by helicopter from station to Bauer Bay hut. The field teams continue their work while handover of the station is well underway. We are well and truly ready to fly cargo ashore tomorrow and hoping for favourable weather at either Hurd Point or Green Gorge.
REGARDS: Robb, Leanne and Martin
