Comments

We had a great run through the ice to Casey overnight, thanks to some carefully selected waypoints for ice navigation by our colleagues back in the Glaciology section of AAD (not that we had to negotiate any glaciers, but they're pretty good with sea ice too!). First order of the day was clearing the snow from the helideck, before "assembling" two of our helicopters. Passenger and cargo operations commenced at 0900, and we're about halfway through at present. The weather is holding for us, and we hope to be finished later this afternoon.
