Comments

Blizzard conditions continued yesterday afternoon and most of the night, with this morning bringing an easing in wind strength, and a marginal improvement in visibility. Our very slow drift with the pack has stalled and needless to say, at this stage, we're not going anywhere! The ship's stern remains relatively free of ice, but our exit from here will require an easing in the pressure, and the movement of a large ice floe. All on board are fine, and in a philosophical mood. As we say down here: "hurry up and wait".
