Comments

We are 48 nautical miles from Mawson station and have parked up in
sea ice to use the two AS 350 Squirrel helicopters for ice reccies to
determine which route into Mawson is the preferred - either through the
well known Iceberg Alley or the less known route via a polynya to the north.

The first load of passengers including the in going station leader
have been flown into Mawson on the S76 helicopter and cargo operations
will commence tomorrow morning.

Cheers
Margaret, Andy and Kate.
