Comments

Conditions on the Southern Ocean do not get much better than what we are experiencing at the moment. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping (I am sure they are if you could hear them) and all on board have settled into ship life well and truly. Last night saw the first game of cards and the gym is getting a full workout along with the new coffee machine.

Eight o’clock this morning another successful CPR was retrieved, and the third unit deployed. In anticipation of sighting our first ice berg, a group of keen observers were trained by the crew in the use of a sextant. A sweepstake for “first ice berg sighting” has been posted on the white board. Many are spending their days outside enjoying the little bit of warmth we have left and watching the occasional Wandering Albatross pass by.

REGARDS: Sharon, Fred and Kerry
