Comments

Refuelling successfully completed today thanks to a sterling effort by all involved. Our cargo crew has also been hard at work with all cargo now discharged and currently loading RTA (cargo for ‘Return to Australia’). Many expeditioners and crew have been enjoying the fine hospitality of Davis station in the evening and have greatly appreciated the evening tours to visit the Adelie penguin colony on Gardener Island. The transfer of fresh water from ship to shore will begin tonight. Expeditioners are rostered on 4 hours shifts for this operation. While it is cold job, one gets to admire the pastel twilight skies in relative quiet. Davis has been living up to its name as the ‘Riviera of the South’ and the weather promises to remain fine for tonight’s station barbecue.
REGARDS: Karin, Sharon & Lance
