We are experiencing slightly smoother seas today and have picked up speed to skirt some bad weather (a low trough) on our course. The days have become busier for expeditioners with field-training starting today. Sessions in Navigation, Knots, and Patient handling are being run by our Field Training Officers on board. In addition, the Iceberg Observations have commenced, with volunteers on 2 hourly watches on the bridge. Engine Room tours will also start this afternoon. Thanks to Jim (Engineer trainee), participants will receive a detailed map of the Engine Room for the cost of a gold coin donation to Camp Quality. The Social Committee remain hard at work thinking up questions for tomorrow’s trivia night, and the talks program continues. Tonight we look forward to another science talk, this time by Jess Ericson informing us about Ocean Acidification. REGARDS: Karin, Sharon & Lance
