Yesterday was a challenging day aboard with rough seas and heavy pitching forward and back of the ship. We launched 2 sonobuoys, 1 meteorological buoy and 1 ARGO float. The ARGO float measures the salinity and temperature of the upper layer of the ocean and is part of a world wide oceanographic program. At the moment, the sea conditions are the best they have been for 2 days but it is forecasted to worsen over the next two days. Current activities on board include meetings, de-briefs in relation to voyage activities, report writing and making general preparations for our arrival into Wellington, as well as trying to get some sleep in a moving bed.
